Hugh Hewitt just played a clip of Netanyahu saying that the IDF soldiers were killed by a 10-yr. old suicide bomber. Clip was from Fox News - this is unbelievable and I couldn't find a post of it anywhere.

A Palestinian suicide bomber who may have been no older than ten-years-old was responsible for the deaths of 13 Israeli soldiers today, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said late Tuesday.

"This was the briefing that I took from one of the central commanders (in the West Bank)," Netanyahu told Fox News Channels "Hannity & Colmes."

"I don't know, frankly - because I inquired as well - whether it was a 10-year-old, a fourteen-year-old, or a thirteen-year-old," he said. "It was a youngster, a Palestinian youngster strapped with explosives (who was) dispatched forward. And yes, that's what caused the casualties."

The Israeli soldiers were killed as they were withdrawing from Palestinian occupied territories at the request of the U.S.

Netanyahu said he wouldn't be surprised if ten-year-old Palestinians were being recruited as suicide bombers, "since Yassir Arafat has suicide kindergarten camps with three-year-olds."

I don't know if you saw Brit or not tonight, but I give him credit. While being careful to state that they didn't have confirmation from Israel on the age of the bomber, he was at least willing to report it and discuss it with "The Panel". I think they're being very careful ever since the Daniel Pearl incident where a body was found in the street and reported by CNN & MSNBC to be Pearls. Fox didn't do it and they're trying real hard not to fall into the trap of having to be first to report.

Brit was 100 times better on at least getting the story out there for debate if it was true, but making sure that the viewers knew that they were still trying to get verification.

By the way, they did say that Bebe had indicated that HE had verified it with sources in Israel.

There may not be live transmissions of events coming out of these 'military zones' but there is going to be taped video....lots of it!

If the Palis filmed any attrocities by Israeli troops, it's not going to look good for Israel. Remember Rodney King? The troops have a tough mission. I think these brave guys are going to look like monsters if there's video.

These gallant souls are defending their neighborhoods because the Israelis are coming for them. And, yes, they are fighting against military targets, for once; again, because the Israelis are coming for them. Until now, though, they have let their little sisters do the killing and dying for them. And they have much preferred to attack civilians in supermarkets.

The Israelis have a list of terrorists, by name, they hope to kill or capture, and a list of locations by address they hope to clean out, bomb factories, suicide schools, and the like. The list is actually a rather short one; but to get to these handful of people, they will have to fight their way through mobs fighting to protect them.

Mixed in with the killers there are not doubt brave folks who are defending their neighborhood against foreigners. It is a sad fact that good men often enlist in evil causes. That sad fact should not give you even a moment's pause when it is time to confront them.

It is no great intelligence task for Benyamin to announce what the soldiers filled in on their debriefing reports... or listen to phone calls to mecca and baghdad... FACT... it was a kid... he was ten... netenyehu announced it as the new communications officer... and it will be reported. Which explains the apologetics efforts to cover it up, delay disemination and transfer of the information to interested parties in the press and abroad.

Your efforts are too little, too late.

It sounded like a suicide bomber and an ambush the way I heard it reported. Soldiers had entered a building and a booby trap had gone off. As more soldiers entered the building to try to rescue their fellow soldiers that were either dead or injured, the bomber set himself off. As they ran out the sniper fired from the roof.

Now I admit, I'm going from memory from about 4 hours ago, so it may have been the suicide bomber first and then the booby trap, but it clearly was both an ambush and a suicide bomber.
