Only works if they stay past Powell's visit and/or seem to destroy a lot of terrorists(ie Church of Nativity holdouts). Otherwise it has to be caluculated that the public will understand AND forget later on...both of us being democracies/republics where public opinion matters.

Then I think: So what, Israel continues unimpeded for what will be the exactly two weeks bush, powell and sharon outlined on the day of the "incursions". Incursions that included CIA and NSA operatives... or what is sometimes referred to as "us special forces".

The Cia and NSA acknowledged this in press releases... John Huang2 posted SEVERAL articles on it... Associated Press mind you, NOT DEBKA.

It helps to remember who is allies and who ain't.

It is hard to criticize those who have unswerving loyalty and devotion to Clinton when you see we have the same misplaced blind loyalty and faith  on the right.  Bush has sold us out in so many areas, he has shown himself to be just another politician

What are you smoking? With the USA on record as "demanding" an Israel pull out of the west bank, the USA can not say squat if an Arab Army enters the war to push Israel out. Also Bush is making the US war on terror into a joke, by not supporting Israel in it's war on terror. These are the same damn terrorist that attacks us! Bush is blowing it big time and support for the war on terror is going to evaporate, since he (Bush) obviously doesn't mean it.

His condemnation of Israel will only enbolden Arab states and that will lead to a much bigger war, one in which Bush will be traped by his own words into supporting the terrorists against Isreal. I have never seen dumber policy, only Jimmy Charter gives Bush competition for being clueless.
