Red heifer born in Israel
Israel National News ^

Red Heifer Born in Israel (IsraelNN.com) In these days of difficulty for the Land of Israel, there is encouraging news as well...

It can now be revealed that less than one month ago, a red heifer was born in Israel. After the heifer's owner contacted the Temple Institute, on Friday, April 5th, 2001, Rabbi Menachem Makover and Rabbi Chaim Richman traveled to the farm where the heifer is located, to inspect and validate her status. The rabbis found her to be kosher and were satisfied that this heifer could indeed be a candidate to be used in the process of purification described in the book of Numbers, chapter 19. This is a prerequisite for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple.

Tradition records that a red heifer in our generation is a herald of the Messianic era. It is certainly an important development towards the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Our sages taught that Israel’s redemption can be compared to the dawn. "In the beginning, it progresses very slowly...but as it continues, it grows brighter and brighter."

Pictures of the heifer may be viewed at the Temple Institute .

Here is one link which purports to explain the basic idea of the red heifer. There are a lot of end-times sites that mention it, and I didn't much care to wade through them. I have no idea if this is an accurate site or not.

Here is the story about the last candidate, from about 1997. A few white hairs, and some black eyelashes saved her bacon, so to speak.

Howdy

Amusing, and perhaps quite correct. I am not planning to sell my ranch and dig a deep hole or anything, but for a believer, having prophesy after prophesy fulfilled gives me the heebie jeebies.

I dont know how many biblically prophesied things have to take place before I stockpile canned food, right now I do my job, feed my horses, and carry on as usual.

People seeing hitler rise thought the bubble was going up, two thousand years of false alarms does make folks jaded even if they do believe in the Almighty.

However, being spiritually "together" is hardly a dysfunctional state of affairs, it is not a bad idea any time.

If and when the Temple of Solomon's reconstruction begins, I humbly recommend you reconsider your cynicism.

WHOA!! :) Time for that 3rd Temple to go up. PETA will stop the sacrifices which will bring on the abomination of desolation Jesus spoke of in Matt. 24:15.

Is there any prophecy as to what is to be done with the heifer? Can we make T-bones and burgers out of him?

I just read Numbers chapter 19 at bible.com, and there is nothing to suggest that the birth of a Red Heifer is a big deal.

It talks about God telling moses to tell some dude to bring a red heifer and to burn him. Then it goes on and on about how clean people are suppose to dispose of the ashes or something. As for the birth of a Red Heifer being a sign of the end, there is nothing in Numbers chapter 19.

There's something about worshipping a golden calf, though. But didn't the Jews get in heap big trouble for that?

The "sacred cow" is common to many of the world mythologies. Take for instance the White Buffalo, the birth of which which the American Indians believed to be the beginning of world purification.

Stop it ok? Every two years or so it is the same new cycle. The heretofore unseen red heifer is finally born allowing the reclaimation of the temple mount and the end of the world to take place.

There have to be a whole herd of these red heifers judging from the number of times this story has made it to print.

Is it s slow news day in Israel? I don't think so.

"Red heifers are a dime a dozen in many parts of the world."

They sure are.

I remember a story a few years ago about some Christians bringing red cattle to Israel so that a red heifer could be born there.

Aliens from space land in your backyard

I think the check box more likely was beside the words, "immature supernaturalist species."

Their reports final recomendation was, "check again in another 1000 planetary rotations."

I agree, except....

Matthew 24:32-33 says, "Now learn this lesson from
the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves
come out, you know that summer is near. Even so,
when you see all these things (Mat 24:1-31), you
know that it is near, right at the door."
