The Peace & Justice Alliance--"Our Mission Through grassroots organizing, to empower individuals to promote the reversal of the nuclear arms race, the achievement of disarmament, a peacetime economy, and foreign and domestic policies of justice and openness.".....Source The Church Council of Greater Seattle

Social justice and environmental justice....it's all tied up together. Environmentalists are communists wrapped up in a different cloak.

"Social Development and World Peace"--United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Environmental Justice Program We urge policy makers and public officials to focus more directly on the ethical dimensions of environmental policy and on its relation to development, to seek the common good, and to resist short-term pressures in order to meet our long-term responsibility to future generations. . . . We need to use our voices and votes to shape a nation more committed to the universal common good and an ethic of environmental solidarity. "Renewing the Earth" U.S. Catholic Bishops (1992)

We remind parents that they are the first and principal teachers of children. . . . It is at home that they develop the habits of self-control, concern, and care that lie at the heart of environmental morality. . . . We ask business leaders and representatives of workers to make the protection of our common environment a central concern in their activities and to collaborate for the common good and the protection of the earth. "Renewing the Earth" U.S. Catholic Bishops (1992)

Board of Church and Society welcomes Elian's fatherUnited Methodist News Service [Excerpt] The Rev. Beverly Wilkes of Springfield, Ill., rose to say that handguns should be included in the ban because they are a cause of accidental deaths of many children. "We are calling for America to disarm itself for the sake of our children and for the sake of too many others who died too soon." She urged leaving policing to the professionals and limiting private gun ownership to those who hunt. Delegates approved a proposal to modify the resolution by directing it to the U.S. government and to the governments of other countries where the United Methodist Church is present. The full resolution calls for governments to outlaw "ownership by the general public of handguns, assault weapons, automatic weapon conversion kits and weapons that cannot be detected by traditionally used metal-detection devices." During the same morning session, delegates rejected a proposal for eliminating the denomination's Board of Church and Society, the agency that works on social issues such as gun control. Almost 70 percent of the delegates refused to abolish the organization after a discussion. One delegate said he wanted the board eliminated because it voices positions with which he does not agree. He cited the board's stance against the Boy Scouts' ban of gays and its involvement in setting up a fund to pay a lawyer for Elian Gonzalez' father. Another delegate responded that people must get the full story about such issues before they condemn the board. [End Excerpt]

CO2 Science Magazine
Seems like an honest and scientific (lots of letters after people's names) journal on "global warming" science- though it sometimes gets a little shrill.

The role of foundation grants in environmental advocacy
Helen chenowith's article is a devastating expose of the foundations' control of the environmental debate.

We need to end the UN ban on DDT so that millions around the world will not die needlessly every year from Malaria and other insect-borne diseases. We need to rescind the bans on insecticides so people here and around the world can eliminate the many insects and rodents that spread disease and destroy millions of dollars in property every year. An estimated one third of the Earth's food supply is destroyed annually by rodent predation. We need to understand that environment groups are not our friends, trying to save fuzzy little animals, but rather that they are funded by corrupt foundations like Ford, Rockefeller, and Pew so they can continue their assault on our economy, our nation, and our lives.

Amen, Amen, Amen!

Howdy

I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for this wonderful remedy to a sick nihilistic popular culture determined to find ways to inflict suffering on people for no rational reason whatsoever.

You're a regular resource guide to cures for disinformation!

...We have to end government policies that have led to more than 73 million acres of America being put off limits to the use of Americans...

Nowhere in the Constitution was the federal government granted the power to take land from the states for any purpose. We need an amendment that forever forbids the federal government from appropriating any land in any state. What the feds do in the territories is a seperate matter. The creation of parks should be a matter for the states to decide.
