I doubt anyone thinks the USA will go to bat for Bahrain for a small naval pier and use of an airbase. They run more of a risk from the Saudis and others for having us there than anything else.

That's why I said to think "Kuwait"........Kuwait was threatened much in the same way (small, oil rich state easily swallowed up by larger aggressor not having a 'protector')........and they know it.
