President Bush concluded his weekend meeting with British Prime Minster Tony Blair today in Crawford, TX. Blair spoke to a crowd at George Bush Senior Presidential Library Center at College Station, Texas where he said that Iraq must allow weapons inspections or face the consequences. President Bush headed back to the White House this afternoon. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That's okay, W. I can't drink the stuff...no matter how much I love it. I swell up like a blow fish. Not pretty. Heard it has something to do with sulphites (sp?). Do they...whoever they are...make wine w/o sulphites?

**How W can manage to smile with the burdens he has is beyond me. **

He has peace that passes all understanding. :o)

Thank you. BTW, my little pinky is up in the air as I sip. I am SUCH a lady!

MG...so, how was the rally? Lots of people? I read about some pretty big pro-Israel rallies in NYC today. Go Israel and go USA!

Thank you so much for the ping!

The one of the President saluting the marine while carrying the dog is a keeper!

Wine without sulphites? I don't know. I think they do - white wine usually doesn't contain nearly as many as red.

It's funny for me because before I used to always drink white wine as red wine always seem to give me a headache, and I don't mean as in a hangover. As I drank it, it would give me a headache. Now, however, when I drink white wine I nearly always wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat! Yuk. I think it has something to do with being over forty. ;o)

So, now I try to stick to the red. It's better for sipping anyway. I think twyn1 was drinking a Pinot Gris the other night and frankly, I was quite jealous.

WOW! I viewed and read the whole thread. Sounds and looks great. I'm surprised there are that many peaceniks in Fresno. I am sure times have changed but I always thought you guys in the valleys were all conservatives. Maybe they bussed them in, eh?

LOL !! -- I BROKE the corkscrew trying to open a new bottle of wine tonight -- is that a bad omen or what ?? Not Pinot Grigot, alltho' that was the suggested wine for "beating your head agianst a brick wall" threads, I only have a (rather cheap but quite delightful) Chardonnay (but I did share a lovely Mouton-Cadet Bordeaux with my DH the other night)

Yes, I know there are many who are older but I tell ya...this turning forty (which was actually a couple of years ago) has been one heck of an eye opener! Night sweats, reading glasses (!!), aches and pains, memory lapses (although I have always had them), etc. It's amazing how quickly things can turn sour! LOL!

I thought I read something about an upside down pineapple cake. ??? Also read that it was only a party of 23, with Blair's daughter and mother in attendance. Jenna, the Bush's daughter, was also there.

Sure wish CSPAN would cover these Texas dinners!

Awww..poor Barney -- he doesn't look like he's enjoying that rain at all !!

Must be the same downpour that cancelled the Nascar Winston Cup race today -- it was coming down in buckets

I drink white wine made without sulphites - it's made by Badger Mountain (in a pretty blue bottle)....all wines have some sulphites naturally, but supposedly they don't add any to this wine like they do others....it's not too bad.

I'm sipping a rather delightful Cab Sauv from Mondovi. It's amazing how far Mondovi has come from its rather less than auspicious beginnings!!

Okay, based upon my readings today, it's seems that Tony Blair had quite a talking to by our W. He's out there telling Sadaam to shape up or ship out! Guess he chose not to go wobbly on us afterall. Sure wish those blokes on the continent behaved the same way.

Would you kindly speak up a little please? LOL! A lot of people don't realize that there are any conservatives at all in California! Actually, almost four and a half million Californians voted for GWB. The whole Central Valley of California is very conservative.

However I am pretty certain that most of these people who showed up on Friday night were bused in and also are probably paid to show up. I swear, they leave promptly at 6:30, no sooner and no later. It's like they are punching a time clock! (We of course stay until the last one of the darn peaceniks has driven off. We have outlasted them each and every week - and we started the weekend after September 11th.)

Always remember one thing my dear. Your age is none of your business. (In other words, don't think about it. There are some things worse than denial).
