President Bush concluded his weekend meeting with British Prime Minster Tony Blair today in Crawford, TX. Blair spoke to a crowd at George Bush Senior Presidential Library Center at College Station, Texas where he said that Iraq must allow weapons inspections or face the consequences. President Bush headed back to the White House this afternoon. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Actually, hubby and I want to split it into three - Northern CA, Southern CA (L.A. County, Riverside, etc) and New California (like New Mexico) which would be Palm Springs, San Diego...you get the picture.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be part of Southern California either! LOL! I am afraid that if we were divided into northern and southern CA, Fresno would be part of the latter half. Yikes!

All we actually need to do is make it so that the winner doesn't take all. Those guys in Florida talk about disenfranchised voters....WE CONSERVATIVE CA VOTERS have been disenfranchised. Shame too. Four and a half MILLION CA voters voted for W and we got zero electoral college votes to show for it!

...and will tell him about this rally. I always tell him to read FR to realize how much Americans appreciate our military.

We have these rallys each and every Friday night. There is always a thread posted that evening. Tell him he can do a search for "Fresno" on FRee Republic and it will bring the weekly thread right up. :~D

"I note that the Bush's, unlike the Clintons, have cared for and trained THEIR dog so that it can walk unleashed across a tarmac without fear of its running under the wheel of a baggage tow."

If you think about it.... Buddy was much like his dad, he was always sniffing around and not paying attention to where he was heading. In Bill's case he was impeached for jumping the fence and sniffing aroud. When Buddy jumped the fence and went sniffing around the results were more final

My evil twin just whispered something to me like "too bad that couldn't have been switched and Buddy would still be here" ....can you believe that I, ah, I mean SHE would even whisper such a thing???

You are right. It wasn't. The state, unfortunately, has changed so much. I didn't spend too much time in SoCal - remember I am a NoCal girl - but we did spend a couple of weeks at the beach each summer down by Balboa/Newport Beach. It was so quaint - now this was more in the 60s, not the 70s - and so peaceful. Now, it's all suped up and chi-chi. A few years ago, my hubby and I and our boys drove up the California coast - from LA to SF. All those little beach towns - GONE! There are maybe a few in the very central part of the state but they are so hard to get to it's hardly worth the while. It breaks my heart.

I even remember when my family took our first trip out to CA as a kid. There were orange trees EVERYWHERE.

When we moved to CA in 74 from MN...no more orange trees...Just like that!

I made my "Summer Spaghetti" tonight...hoping that would help the weather along.

Vine ripened tomatoes, sweet basil, dill, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, slivered onions = sauce

Thin spaghetti tossed in romano cheese and butter = pasta

Hot pasta, cold sauce....it's great!

Oh, the owner's results will be final, MJY. They just aren't final yet. Sooner or later, the man's going to pay for what he did to this country. He's going to pay.

About Chelsea, I always pitied the poor girl. Not only did she have to be raised by arguably the two worst parents (people?) in the country, but she got the worst looks from both parents, who are both unattractive.

But I never noticed the resemblance with Eleanor before you posted that pic. I wonder if Chelsea's husband will be as unfaithful to her as Eleanor's was to her?

Vine-ripened tomatoes....??????

You can't be serious? We can barely till the ground up here!

As for you comment about the orange groves...oh yes, I remember those days. The Bay Area used to have all sorts of farms in it - apricot groves, etc. Now all the farm ground is only a tiny sliver of coastal ground. In fact, the college I went to - Stanford - ironically, is called "THE FARM." Gone are the days....

Okey dokey. Then we in Northern California can keep our water, right?

Yep, you got that right HSM!!! We used to say, 'just cut the water off and let SoCal return to its natural desert state!' Ah, yes...just desserts.
