I agree with your statement: When all is said and done, I think we will find that Bush's "axis of evil" wasn't just a figure of speech; it was based on his knowledge that we are up against an alliance of other countries. There are two wild cards in this that nobody is talking about: China (possibly involved on the other side) and Japan (on our side and very powerful, but not currently armed for military action).
