I think the big concern is that the M-E situation will push virtually all muslim immigrants into the Social-Dems column. I wonder how much the "rightists" worry about backlash. You have to figure in the latent hostility of Europans toward the Muslims. No country in Europe has our tolerance for foreign cultures.

This is the problem - while we teach unquestioning tolerance, muslims teach their children that they and their culture alone are superior to ALL other peoples and cultures even though there is little to recommend their way of life to any other societies. So they grow up insisting on their way or the highway. If they can't convert Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, they are admonished to kill them.

Before they acquire enough strength in a region to perform these sword point conversions, this attitude will manifest itself as Arab-American groups for example with nothing at all to say about the slaughter of 3,000 of their "fellow" Americans, but scream like stuck pigs :) if Israel should dare to fight back.
