President Bush welcomed British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the Western White House today for talks about the current crisis in the Middle East. The meeting was initially supposed to be about Iraq, but has taken a detour given recent events in Israel. In an interview with Granada television, however, Bush made it clear that Saddam Hussein has to go (see the QotD). Enjoy the daily dose of Dubya!

I have to agree. The other day my husband came into the loft where I am on the computer and turned the TV on and insisted I watch it. It was unbelievable, and well,..... unbelievable. The only one that seems just a little sane it the wife, but then you have to wonder how sane is she that she married him and her kids turned out the way that they have. I don't even know when or what time it comes on he just happened upon it and I have never caught it again.

Maybe someone from the Corps (aviation section) can inform us as to weapons protocol, I have often wondered if the individual that we see saluting the CINC at the base of the Marine One steps, was an aviation/flight crew-chief or a security guard, akin to an embassy guard ?

I realize that, I'm not the one entertaining them, just pokin fun that's all. Tony Blair has been a great friend to the U.S. and I feel he has spent a bunch of political capital supporting our President, And I for one, appreciate what Tony Blair has done for us.

I still feel he needs to lighten up a bit though :-)
