>Celibacy for life has gotta be a huge turn off for manly men no offense.

>>It certainly is a huge turn off for sissies who can't keep it inside their pants.

>>>Your calling me a sissy...

Please explain first, how do you think "sissy" applies to you personally.
What I meant is that it takes strength of character and real discipline to decide and faithfully remain celibate for life. That is why preparation for priesthood takes years, and that is why some sissies and homos who couldn't keep it inside their pants, and who should never be ordained priests in the first place, got the Church in trouble.

Preach it, gentlemen.

I think Bishop Fulton Sheen said it best, way back when. He said as long as his mind was focused on the love of Christ, worldly things (yes, even sex) were of little or no concern. But, when he focused too much on the world, and let his focus on Christ wane, then the worries of the flesh returned.

Thus his advice: Focus on Christ.

Celibacy for life has gotta be a huge turn off for manly men no offense.

Once you "start", doesn't your head blow off if you go for more than 90 days without it?

I thought that's what the manual said... not taking any risks here.

No but manly men have high testerone and that leads to an increased sex drive you can remain celibate but its not attractive( I mean lets face it the real manly men either plan to get rich or join the military).

LOL, I'd say that's a point that would be hard to dispute in any case...

There is nothing more manly than a holy celibate man dedicating his life to God. That statement of yours was goofy.

You’re going to see lay participation like this all over the United States. At the end of the day, it won’t matter if the bishop wants to move with alacrity, because he’ll be forced to.

Nothing like grassroots action! It's always been up to the people to take out the trash.

Celibacy for life has gotta be a huge turn off for manly men no offense. It didn't used to be, because once upon a time it was part of the invitation to be a hero, a saint. So you had men like St. Francis Xavier who, like Saint Paul, were willing to go anywhere and put their life on the line every day.

Nope. That was St. Matthew.
