The only difference between Bloomberg and a left-wing Democrat is that Bloomberg has had to make a payroll in the past. That's it.

Beginning in July, obstetrics and gynecology residents in the city's public hospitals will be routinely trained to perform abortions under a program backed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg will be responsible for more deaths of innocents than the 9/11 terrorists.

I hope they're handing out directions to the oncology department while they're at it.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Remember that Bloomberg himself BEGGED his mistress to have an abortion.

These are procedures that are allowed by law and we're going to make sure that the doctors are trained appropriately." The doctors are who sincerely interested in doing abortions would have taken it anyway when it was an elective. Since you can opt out for moral reasons (whether this is your reason or because of course load - you can lie), nothing has changed in terms of forcing doctors to learn abortions.

It's no accident that less than half of all black babies in NY make it out of their mothers' wombs alive.
The elitist assault on humanity continues....

The pro-choicers can rejoice all they want, but as I read this, abortion training has merely gone from an "opt-in" voluntary program, to one where folks can "opt-out" if they so choose.

Do you have a citation for that stat? Honestly curious.

Dunn said most residency programs nationwide do not require abortion training and offer it instead as an elective.I can just see someone getting ready to enroll; "let's see, do I learn to murder babies or not? well, it fits into my course schedule, so why not..."

The fact that NARAL forced this on the hospital just goes to show that too many docs are not interested in abortion enough to take it as an elective. This is actually a good trend.

This may change some pro-choice minds. It's one thing to spout "my body my choice"; it's quite another to watch baby body parts being pulled out and thrown away.

May I propose retroactive abortions for scumbag New York City mayors.

Thank you for the link to Life Dynamics. I went to their site and read some of their stuff. I didn't realize that it was such a problem to get abortionists! I read the quotes from the pro-abort industry and I can tell you, I was pleased that they are in such turmoil!
However, that brings me to this point: as the numbers of abortionists decrease, government will start MANDATING that ob/gyns perform abortions. This thing in NYC is just the first step -- mandate that they train, then mandate that they perform.

I'm *not* disputing you. Just was hoping for the actual data.

I don't think the govt will be able to force docs to perform procedures they morally/ethically find repulsive.
But for the folks who still want to do that sort of thing, the fees will rise, bringing back the ida that only the "rich" will be able to afford abortions, etc.
