the proof-text being, and in the Q'umran scrolls (not to be confused with that other "book"), which verified the Old Testament, show the Israeli claim to the city by their king at least before 1000 B.C. ... David took the city from the Jebusites, it is true ... that puts 3,000+ years of Jewish history in the city ... now the Romans killed or drove *nearly* all of them out in 70 A.D. of course ...
