No? It is certainly in everyone's best interest to see that the newest members of our society are well-educated. The issue here is that a teacher's union is trying to wrest away from parents their right to decide what their children are taught. While parents have the sole right to decide what their children are taught, they also have a moral responsibility to see that their children are educated, whether by themselves or by delegating that responsibility to others. Are you saying that society should have no say whatsoever in whether children are being educated? Should we just repeal child labor laws and burn down the public schools as the Libertarian Party would do?
