Shock rocker Marilyn Manson is back in the legal spotlight, and this time he's named in a wrongful death suit.
According to Billboard online, the mother of a young woman killed in a car accident after attending a gathering at Manson's on April 1, 2001, filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.
In the suit, Maria St. John alleges that Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, provided her daughter, Jennifer Syme with "various quantities of (cocaine)" at the party, reported Billboard. St. John also claimed in the suit that her daughter lost control of vehicle the next morning, smashed into three parked cars, and died at the scene.
According to her lawyer, St. John is seeking an unspecified amount of financial and punitive damages for emotional damage and loss of income, reported Billboard.
Manson is currently awaiting trial in Michigan, where a concert security guard has accused the rocker of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Hmmmm Not sure what to say about that

She's suing for loss of her daughter's income... which she wasn't entitled to anyway.

Unless it can be shown that the daughter was her means of support in full or part?

Funny,I didnt see any mention of Manson holding gun to daughters head and forcing her to ingest cocaine or for that matter ,forcing her to drive while intoxicated. When will people learn to accept responsibility for their OWN actions?

Kill two birds with one stone. Instead of filing a suit each against Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, just file one against Marilyn Manson. Better chances of success too, since one is dead and the other in prison!

provided her daughter, Jennifer Syme with "various quantities of (cocaine)" at the party,How the heck is she going to prove that?
This is a shameless money grab, made possible courtesy of the most truly evil creatures on earth,Trial Lawyers.

why am I not surprised?
MM has placed more importance on hyping his strange, androgynous lifestyle than he ever did on his "music" (if you want to call it that), so the mere fact that he is being sued by a parent after contributing to the death of her daughter is in no way shocking to me. To hear him call himself a "musician & entertainer" is.
Wasn't this the guy who played "Skippy" on "Family Ties"?

I would think the police would know if she was under the influence of drugs, if not......... she doesn't have a case, or shouldn't have.

He was ultimately chased from a Hoffman Estates subdivision by a group of bicycle-riding teenagers who advised him to "get [his] chalk-white goblin ass" out of their neighborhood.LOL!!

Wasn't this the guy who played "Skippy" on "Family Ties"? No, he's never been an actor--just Marilyn Manson (isn't that enough for one lifetime?).

Give Michael Jackson a few more years and he will look just like Manson, although he already looks scarier.

Possible, but unlikely. Lately there have been many of these suits. Juries may be sympathetic, but the appeals courts aren't.

In the meantime, what ever happened to the negligence case against Tommy Lee for the death of the toddler who drowned at the pool when he didn't provide lifeguards and everyone there appeared to be trashed? These guys need to realize they are culpable for bad thing that happen on their 'turf'. e.g. - If someone goes to Joe Q. Public's house for a cookout and he lets them drink too much, he is somehow liable if there is an accidents/injury/death as a result. Therefore, why isn't Manson, EVEN IF the mother DIDN'T press charges?

Sadly, like Jeffrey Dahmer, he is from Ohio, as am I. Explains a lot.

Therefore, why isn't Manson, EVEN IF the mother DIDN'T press charges? But where did the mother get the drug info, pulled it out of thin air ? ........ and with his track record, why did she allow her daughter to go there....... victims aren't always victims, but easily becomes one when there is money to be had.
