The Administration doesn't want to admit the truth of that statement, because then they would have to face squarely the hypocrisy of saving "both sides have to act to solve this problem." Both sides did not have to act to solve the Taliban / Al Qaeda problem.
It is a useful pretence that there is any "peace process" going on in the Middle East today. There is a war process, no more, no less. Since Push is unwilling, at this point, to admit that, Ari Fleischer had to lie, lie, and lie again in this press conference.
Of course the White House Press Corps is too historically ignorant really to pin Fleischer to the wall by asking him to distinguish the Middle East today from Europe in 1939, when Chamberlain proclaimed "peace in our time" as a result of the pact just signed with Hitler.
Odds are, most of the press would not know what the Munich Pact said, or who Chamberlain was, or why that was an abject failure that led directly to World War II. Heck, the only reason most members of the press know who Hitler was is they've seen him on TV recently.
This press conference was a disgrace all round.
After, thank God, having bought a sufficient delay for Roosevelt's US Taxpayer-funded aid-to-warring-Europeans;-the Kennedy-Crime-Family-and-to-other-war-profiteering-"Democratic"-party-supporters program, "Lend-Lease" to crank out enough arms, equipment and munitions for the Brits that they were not instantly invaded, overrun and wiped out by Hitler's blitzkrieg.
Given the total disatmament that had occurred in Britain after World War One -- and that there were/are virtually no privately owned guns in that sad, socialist land -- Chamberlain had Hobson's choice and his actions and Roosevelt's Lend-Lease, gave Britain and the rest of Europe their only hope.
On Israel, as with most of what America's President George Walker Bush is up to at present?
Watch what he does, not what he says!
He knows that Israel and Our Beloved FRaternal Republic are of the same body -- and of the same Civilization -- and will not let US down.
Please Dear Lord?
