I've read that their cannibalism included raising people to eat - kind of like human feed lots. Nasty people indeed. They also built pyramids, like another perfidious bunch of people, the Egyptians.

But........ what did THOSE people eat? Sounds a bit inefficient to me!

I don't recall the title of the book about the cannibalism. What happened was, only the "elite" got to eat, ahem, "long pig." The human beings that were fattened didn't get to eat other people. In the 1500s the Indians that live in what is now Mexico were murderous, nasty people, that had a bit of science - astronomy, etc. Still nasty people. I'm glad Columbus came to this continent, and brought some civilization with him.
