Israel has no need for cheap unskilled labor from the Palestinians.

Let me know when you've had your reality check. Israel has one of the lowest birthrates in the world, and as a result they must import not only unskilled laborers but many skilled workers, too.

Remember, the Palestinian who blew himself up in the hotel last weekend and killed all those people at the Passover celebration was a former employee of the hotel. Companies in Israel would never hire Palestinian workers unless they really needed them.

And think of all those stories you hear about terrorists attacking soldiers at "Israeli checkpoints." The soldiers aren't there to keep Palestinians out of Israel -- they're there to make sure the Palestinians entering Israel have valid working papers.

Reality check here: The Israelis do not need to import any labor of any kind, skilled or unskilled, from the Palestinians. There are Thais and Romanians clamoring for those jobs. For skilled labor, there are plenty of Israelis, Americans and Russians who want those jobs.

There is no need for Israel to use Palestinian workers.

They're there to keep criminal terrorists out of Israel. Checking papers is only a part of what's necessary to keep the terrorists out.
