This does not brother me, I realize that it could be used for evil purposes, but in the event of a real bio-terror attack then government MUST be able to move quickly to defeat the attack.

Maybe I missed something, but just how would confiscating my guns, generator and food stop smallpox from spreading? The state and federal governments have plenty of resources of their own to send their own supply of food, portable electrical generators, and ammunition without a 21st century "night of the long knives" against the people that they are supposed to serve.
