Bunk! This is not even a believable X-Files case. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully wouldn't look at this one. The notion that Flight 77 was a government conspiracy is laughable. How would Thierry Meyssan explain Barbara Olson's absence? And what about the other passengers? Do the French seriously believe the U.S government would go out of its way to arrange the murder of its own citizens? For what its worth, not even Al Qaeda has advanced such an outrageous claim. There's simply no evidence whatsoever that can be said to support this pack of lies.

That this book would find an audience in France is quite understandable. France is a country with a periodic history of being reality-challenged and perhaps they're forming an intellectual "Maginot Line" once again.

"I believe the American government is lying... No plane crashed into the Pentagon,"There is only one explanation, obviously the Pentagon cut off the the jet liner.

I investigated the La Belle Discotheque bombing in Berlin, Germany in 1986. It seems to me that the art of criminal investigation is dead, that the public blandly accepts everything the leviathian media and government spews forth.
Any act that is possible has to be considered to be put forth into actuality, therefore it is the criminal investigator's duty to know every possibility.
I'm all for the war on terrorism, I have been for the past 16 years because of my terrible La Belle experience. But I don't particularly buy the 911 story---I have a few hunches about it.

Having seen some of the conspiracy threads posted here - Vince Foster, JFK, TWA800, Clinton Dead Lists, Bush Body Counts, you name it - nothing surprises me anymore.

Meyssan says key evidence shows witness accounts are contradictory, that there are few photographs of the crash and that those that do exist show no debris from the plane.

Meyssan can go to hell! Pardon me, but this is very upsetting to me. I lost several former co-workers on that fateful day. A close friend who survived still has nightmares of that fireball!
Instead of looking for the "missing" Boeing, this guy should be looking at the faces of those who lost their lives. Here is the Army's memorial page. I cry everytime I visit it.

Oliver Stone will probably be buying the movie rights.
