Thanks Gretchen! Great read, first thing Monday morning. I think this settles the debate about the President's attire and 55 year old men, eh? ;o) We can discuss on the Dose tonight!

It was quicker for him to run to get to Macdonalds on 14th St.

Hey, thanks for the ping, Gretchen, and thanks for the article, John!
The discipline and work ethic of a dedicated runner are part of what allow this President to be able to deal with the incredible stress he is under with the war on terror.
I laughed out loud at the thought that x42 was a 'runner!' All you have to do is see pictures of his flabby, pasty thighs to see that this was yet another fabrication about this pathetic excuse for a man that was facilitated by a fawning press.

Mr. Bush seems determined to be the poster president for working out. His personal best is a 6:45 mile for three miles, a record he set last Thanksgiving at Camp David. After missing a 7:00 pace in this weekend's 5K by four seconds, I really do not want to hear that a man 25 years older than me is down to 6:45.
But on the other hand, it IS nice to have a real runner for a President.

He ran on Air Force One on his way to Mexico last month...The mental image this gave me just really cracked me up! Then I read on....
...on a treadmill set up in the jet's conference room.
Thanks for the ping!

Didn't Reagan chop firewood while at his ranch?
To: gov_bean_ counter
That was his favorite past time. I have chopped wood and believe me, I would never do it for fun, lol

Well for a lot of years I jogged to the cigarette machine 3 times day. It didn't do a darn thing for me.

Thanks, John....I enjoyed reading about GWB's fitness programs......
no wonder he's called Super Dubya!
