THIS is a story about Wannabes - you know, people who "want to be" something special and unique. There are SEAL wannabes and Green Beret wannabes. The Palestinians are soldier wannabes.

They have several pictures of dead Palestinian terrorists, at least one of which is a "before and after."

There is a piece of brass on the concrete in front of the Pali kneeling. And it looks like the wound is in or near the right eye of the dead Pali.

From a practical stand point...I wouldn't last 5 minutes. I'm not even sure my back would support the pack and ammo...BUT, this wasn't about being practical, its was about feelings, and desire...not currrent ability. No, war is a youngs man's game, no question about it. Maybe we could find a nice place in HDQ's where we could just choke the living sh*t out of commanding officers who's stupidity got our young warriors needlessly killed.

10-4 on the HDO attack!! None of the casualities described in anything I've seen should have happened. There's not enough pressure to account for losses. They have intel we never dreamed of.

But his ESTEEM, his SELF-ESEEM was probably high right up to the moment of his death. What could be more important?

I have seen other photos in the sequence and I saw one with a trace of blood on the ground. Besides, their shocked expressions and fearful looks would not be the image the Pals would with to project.

Some of the vets here on FR say they'd love to get back into combat (SOME, not all).

Don't get sucked in by the wannabe "combat vets" here on FR, and there are a lot more than just SOME....

The troops inside Ramallah are Infantry probably Golani maybe Paratroopers. There support section [omek] would include several 'Designated Marksmen' using M16/M5 variants {A3} These men are not snipers as such as they do not engage there enemy from large distances. They are trained to go for a torso shot {I should know i have done the course} although other shots may be considered {leg below the knee} this would be impractical considering the round used {standerd 5.56 boattail with steel penetrator}. If he was hit I doubt it was by one of us, the others in the group were legitamte targets i would drop them too as all were still armed and firing, none were in cover so the shots would be resonably simple, trust me my brothers wuold not have left the others alive. The IDF is an army not a police force if we are attacked we will subdue our enemy, these targets were too good to miss. Thats why i think this is a. staged or b. hes been hit by a fragment or a richochet. Shalom

It is kind of funny, people looking for the wound. They might want to look for something a little more obvious. Like the different walls in both pictures, or even the curb which is no where in sight in the 2nd picture.

Three points of interest the soldiers in the 2nd photo {group of three on the stairs} the first one facing the camera is a designated marksman. The guy who has been shot IS NOT wearing body armour its just improvised webbing seems like standerd IDF ammo pouches attached to one of those photographers waistcoats. Nearly all the Palistinians are wearing pieces of IDF kit, from hermonits to dubons.

I saw a video of this engagement yesterday on the news. This guy's fall was coincidental with a rifle report. He immediately began bleeding. Can't say if it was a direct, aimed shot versus a ricochet; but it definitely wasn't a staged photo shoot.
