Christians: Will Jesus Christ Soon Return?
3/30/02 | AntiDemoCommie

The question is very simple. Is Jesus about to return?

Where are we on God's timeline of events that take place prior to the return of Christ?

Is there really anything holding back the Rapture?

What about the Anti-Christ? Is he alive and well, or has he not been born yet?

Before the Rapture, will we get to see the arrival of the Anti-Christ?

Does current US politics and policies help spread the Good News, or usher in Satan incarnate?

No matter where we are on God's timeline, it is never too late to have your sins washed away and be saved. Easter isn't about chocolate bunnies, and baskets full of candy eggs. Its a reminder that Christ was the final lamb. He died in your place to take the punishment for your sins so that you can have eternal life. All you have to do is say to God that you believe Jesus died in your place and you want to be forgiven of all your sins.

At that moment, your life will forever change. God will forgive you of all sin, and you will be saved. Is God pulling at your heart right now? Is his wonderful Holy Spirit urging you to come to him and ask for forgiveness? Don't wait another minute. Turn to God while you have the chance. He loves you dearly and wants the best for you, and your future. All you have to do is ask, and you'll be saved. God has done everything else, but he won't force you to come to him. Its your move.

Okay... Firstly no one knows the hour not the angels in heaven or even the son (Jesus) but the father alone. Okay... This is all speculation... This is fact: You are never too late to wash away your sins! All you got to do (in short) is accept Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior who died on the cross, then came back again. I really believe we are in the end-times and Jesus is very soon to come. Okay, the Antichrist. John (disciple) says there are many antichrists, but the most noteworthy Antichrist is the one who will be indwelt by Satan. He is very likely to be alive - and probably getting up in rank in something such as the EU. Haley's bible indicates he might come from Vatican City. This could be so because if Babylon is the mother of all false religions (Buhdism, etc. was basically brought up from there, and they contradict the first 4 commandments) Jerusalem is the mother of all true religion (because Jesus was crucified and raised there) Rome is an unholy mixture of the two. Because, first it was Christian, then some Babylonian ideas worked its way into it... Cathlicism appeared (praying for the dead, praying to Mary, instituting the mass, etc.) Long answer huh... I'll continue! We'll all most likely witness the antichrist before the rapture - if he isen't even here yet - but I am sure he is The U.S... good or bad... Well, republicans in most case - good, democrats - usually bad... If you'll notice the press is really putting down Christianity and Catholicism.

Nah, I disagree. When Sodom and Gomorah were destroyed, what did Lot ask God? America is full of Christians, and many are sitting on their butts doing nothing, and on that point, we agree. But its not because they are awaiting the rapture, its because they either don't know what to do to change things, or they figure the world is going down the tubes, and they are going to stand back and watch.

Where are we on God's timeline of events that take place prior to the return of Christ?
Personal educated opinion, we are zooming towards the culmination of things.

Is there really anything holding back the Rapture?
The Rapture is a sign-less event. It will happen without warning. Nothing has to happen before it can occur. The only thing holding it back is the Holy Spirit. But the rapture could occur before I finish typing this sentence or it may occur outside of our lifetimes. It will occur though.

What about the Anti-Christ? Is he alive and well, or has he not been born yet?
Don't know. He hasn't been revealed. My guess is yes, but others have guessed the same. I'll stick with scripture though and look for Jesus Christ rather than the AntiChrist. The latter is only the henchman of a defeated devil anyway. I read the back of the book, and Jesus wins!

Before the Rapture, will we get to see the arrival of the Anti-Christ?
Open to some interpretation. Possibly, but not probably (if you hold to a pre-trib rapture). Watchful people may recognize him, but does his "being revealed" imply that nobody could know his identity before this? I don't know.

Does current US politics and policies help spread the Good News, or usher in Satan incarnate?Yes, and yes. The good news has been spread through the witness of our President (which unfortunately has grown less vocal since we are dealing with the Muslims). Billy Graham, at the 911 memorial, gave a gospel message to every country in the world for the first time in history. The US stance regarding Israel, focusses people on the Bible to a certain extent. So, yes, it does help spread the good news. But also, yes, it ushers in Satan incarnate. Our "can't we all just get along." attitude towards Islam will bite us one day. The joining together of religious institutions (Christian with non-Christian) and the dropping of doctrinal barriers, coupled with the view that truth is relative so depending upon the meaning of the word "is" it really doesn't matter what a politician does, all of this sets up a scenario where Satan could send forth his son of perdition into the world.

Next on the time table. Several things could happen before or after the rapture. There is nothing in Scripture that says that the tribulation will occur immediately after the rapture. It's a good guess, but just a guess. I look for Russian and a group of Arab states to attack Israel. All but 1/6 of the invading army will be destroyed. Also, Damascus has yet to be a unihabitable ruin, so it appears that this prophecy is future. Beyond that, we all should make sure that our lives are right with Christ and strive to know Him and serve Him with all of our might as if this is the very last day we can do so.

Since you threw out the question...

I have studied Revelations and other Biblical prophesies in many different contexts. I am left with the conclusion that no person can write a timeline of the End Times.

Otherwise sensible Christians can get very weird about eschatology. We should be very cautious.

The entire Bible is like a Renaissance painting--clear and beautiful and entirely rational and graspable.

Except for Revelation, which is like Picasso and the Cubists. Bizarre, only a glimpse of what conflagration is ahead. While Revelation is as true as any other book, it is a collection of visions and impressions and NO RELIABLE LINEAR ANALYSIS is possbile!!

However, there are lots of hints we can wait for, and the Temple Mound should be observed.

China is not mentioned in the scriptures, because it hadn't been "discovered" yet. Simple as that.
