Just an observation:

The "Eltie Guard" are soldiers, are they not? They got into it voluntarily, were heavily armed, supposedly well trained, and motivated to kill.

The Israelis beat them at their own game, fair and square. Massacred, my butt. I see the bias in this "reporting."

It appears as though the spin doctors were working overtime to try to turn the opinion tables.

I find it ironic that the PLO is so evil that it presents a serious challenge to those who manage "spin" to present them in an even NEUTRAL, much less FAVORABLE light.

Only the stupidest of the stupid would be duped by this. Alas, the sheer number of people in the modern "Civilized" world who unquestionably fall into this category are increasing exponentially.

uhm, it's called a "headshot" in the sniper community.

The walking wounded who choose to carry a weapon are fair game, and if I have a 50cal weapon with a night scope and ballistic computer - I'll hit the temple of an enemy soldier from 600 yards and he'll never hear the bullet as his brain splats against the wall, and he will fall face forward - as drop his weapon on the ground where he'll die.

That's my job as a sniper - put the enemy down, quickly, methodically, and without mercy.

I think your interpretation - and the reporter's - is simplistic: The dead Force 17 commandos were in a closed space with their killers who had no way of determining if they had concealed weapons. Even badly wounded, unless there was a clear expression of surrender, these men were a deadly threat. That the fatal wound was to the head, from within a few feet, does not indicate they were "executed."

Force 17 ain't a bunch of heretic Seventh Day Adventists with their wives and kids next to them. These were soldiers. Second rate for the job they had, but that's no excuse.

Are these the pictures everyone's been talking about? Are they pictures from the "third floor of the Cairo-Amman bank," which is part of The Toad's little Stalinist compound? If so, compare what the article says to the actual photographs.
