Let's press an imaginary button and make all the Jews vanish. Then what Sam Huntington calls the Wars of Islam should end. But what about conflicts with the Hindus (invaded by Islam in 800, occupied till 1700), or the Algerians (100,000 dead and counting), the Russians (who paid tribute to Islam until the 1420s), the Copts, the Moluccans, the Timorese, the Filipinos? And oh, what will we do about the relatives of the 3,000 odd people who were vaporized in downtown Manhattan? I say we should press another imaginary button and make them vanish too. Surely Islam would be satisfied then.
