If the RNC and White House had said Don Sundquist-R is the man for senate would you say we should support him also? If he was the only Republican who could beat Harold Ford (or whoever's running as a Democrat), absolutely.

A governor so pathetic that the DEMs loved his so much they ran a party joke against him. Why? Because they could count on Sundquist to fight for their agenda of Socialized Medicine, expanded government with higher taxes, and against the GOP agenda of LOWER TAXES AND RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT. Now do you still call Sundquist a good deal? My dog could beat him in the GOP primaries that is how much he is hated in this state.

BTW Lamar is running against Bob Clement son of former governor Frank Clement. Not even Frank Clement perhaps the most popular Tn. governor of the 1900's could win an election to any other office after being our governor. None of our governors were afterward elected to the senate by the peoples vote and you have to go to the 1800's to find one who won any office after governor. GOP get a grip and a clue.

BTW both Bryant and Clement are U.S. Congressmen.

How ridiculous. HAve you learned nothing from the likes of Jim Jeffords, Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, etc.? Electing RINOs only means that you're surprised when legislation that should pass gets bottled up in committee or defeated before the full Senate. NO RINOs! I'd rather lose an election running a real conservative than elect another back-stabbing Jim Jeffords clone.
