Shame that Rev. Bigler didn't get any air time on PBS, NPR, CNN when Clinton and his HumWarriors were selling their wag-the-dog war to us back in 1998-1999.

If this was as simple to explain as a wag the dog episode, I would feel much better about it. There is too much pressure, to be accountable to one person's ambition or connivance. You do not Have Richard Holbrooke, Madam Halfbright, Wesley Clarke, and the whole coterie of officials from England and Germany engaged in the deception for the benefit of the deviant White House occupant.

This was planned by a whole cadre of officials from the United States and NATO. It was a war, created by special commercial interests, to steal the resources of Serbia and surrounding territory, using NATO and United States power. An example of commercial and government power (fascism) run amuck.

It's not about them being left wing socialist or communist, that is no argument, it is them being strongly biased and favorizing a particular side, and balkanpeace unfortunately is such. I have had experience with their "objectivity". Especially when you want to gain credebility, but you somehow ignore facts that go against you, or you even forget a period of time and things that happened then and solely concentrate on those you think will favor those you defend. Such a bad habbit, and so common with various organizations claiming they are fighting for peace. Peace for one people, but not peace for others (Muslims). Being Anti-war only when the "right" people are being bombed, forgeting about it when the "wrong" ones are. If they stuck to facts and at least tried to be objective and unbiased, I wouldn't care if they were communist, socialist, conservative, blue, or green. But it is not so....

I can't see what's the problem with this source. They are presenting a pretty balanced view and are linking to sources like Washington Post, Feral Tribune (a Croatian paper), Slobodna Dalmacija (article about Croatian victims in Bosnia:ICTY DOESN´T BELIEVE CROATIAN TEARS )ect.. True, it is primarily concerned with Serbian issues, but I think balkanpeace is founded by Canadian Serbs.

Where to begin?

I am English, but not military.

Yugoslavia was an artificial state created after a number of wars, and recently kept intact by a communist, Tito, as a member of the communist block. As conditions changed after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the participating statelets, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Montenegro sought to gain independence one by one.

The Serbs under Milosevic used military and paramilitary force against them all, including the shelling of cities, ethnic cleansing etc.

Milosevic also repressed political opposition in his own country, including assassination of his opponents, and imprisoned the man who is now the freely elected president of Kosovo.

Whilst Milosevich was ruler of Serbia, the Balkans experienced nothing but and atrocity, since he was removed there has been nothing but (relative) peace.

As to the interview of Pastor Bigler, I repeat that this is pro da.

I could go right through it but I will just ask one question.

As to his central point that the prison camps were fabricated, he says he heard it from some journalists. Why did he not go there, where are the photographs, where is the video?

He says he had an open mind, but apparently never met any Kosovans who represented the other point of view. One of them was so keen to communicate with him they sent him a long fax, but he belittles them on the strength of a Serbians claims.

There are no hard facts in this interview, only perceptions and hearsay, and dare I say it, spin.

By your friends shall we know you. For those that know British politics, the names of the Members of Parliament at the event sponsored by Balkanpeace reveal that it is nothing more than a pro communist, anti Nato, anti American organisation.

If Pastors always tell the truth, what about Jesse Jackson?

Whoops, my Cybersitter doesn't like pagan, so it cut it out of propaganda, and also violence, out of violence and atrocity.

If you want to be a fan of NATO propaganda you can follow Hoplite who is US/NATO paid (I'm sure) to spout

Being against Milosevic and calling him for what he is does not make one a NATO supporter or even one being payed by it. I am not a NATO supporter (am against my country joining it), I didn't support the bombings of civilian targets in Serbia, but one thing I will never do is support, defend, idolize or minimize the responsibility of people like Milosevic, Mladic, Karadzic etc..

Or claim that every crime comitted by those forces was a hoax, propaganda, self-bombing or whatever someone finds "appropriate" to defend a particular side. I have seen so much of it here, that you cannot expect me to belive about the sincerety, fairness or objectivity. Sorry

Your backgrounder is very wrong. FYI
SFRY was never a member of the "communist bloc". The US considered it a anti-Soviet neutral. ( along the lines of say, Finland or Socialist Sweden. Interestigly enough Sweden's economy during the post-war period had just about the same amout of state control as the SFRY) The entire military structure of the SFRY was geared to defending against a Warsaw Pact invasion.

Interesting that you would condem a country for being communist when England was pretty much a commie country from 1946 until (thankfully) Maggie came to save the day.

guilt by association ?
So you'd rather stay in bed with Mr. 3rd Way T. Blair and "it all depends on the meaning of the word 'is'" Clinton.

Sure, there may be a couple of lefty guys mentioned on the site, but on the whole it is pretty conservative and anti-commie.

BTW not all conservatives are flag waving tub thumpers....Here is a conservative site which may get your dander up......www.lewrockwell.com......point is that being conservative doesn't mean one's mind shuts off when it comes to foriegn policy.

Bigler appears pretty honest and forthright in his interview. Unlike Blair, who tends towards vulgar excess and hyper-active language, Bigler simply tells what he saw and what he heard....and makes clear the difference.

I am not gonna engage you in a long learning exercise on the reckless, illegal, and counterproductive nature of Clinton's War to Destroy Yugoslavia...... I'll let Spar post some links for you to pursue....He has a nice one which the English MP's prepared and a few showing how Clinton effectively allied us w/ Al-Queeda in the Yugoslav Wars
