I vote "no" too....I liked the sidebars with breaking news and headlines....I don't have alot of time to read before going to work, and it was nice to be able to glance down the titles and pick and choose what interested me....this is terrible!

I do Jimmy, but let's break down this McDonald's soft drink scam .... all beverages, over an 8-10 minute period are indistinguishable ... yes, there is a subtle taste difference between Coke and Sprite. Is it Sprite, or Cherry Coke? Hmmm. Look, they say it's Coke, but they could be buying cases of generic cola over at Sam's Club. You can have Breaking News in your side bar if you want it. You can have any type of news you want there. Take some time to get used to the new layout.

While I'm not exactly thrilled with the design, there are some nice new features.

I don't want a pretty face, I want information. I don't want slow-loading pretty graphics, I want information. White space does increase readership, I want the white space back. There's too much wasted screen real estate.

This isn't a question of not liking change, it is a question of not liking unnecessary and less-than-desirable change.

I've been here , lurker and member for almost 4 years; just a few months shy of.

This hurts my eyes terribly, is giveng me a migrain, takes FOREVER to load, looks like garbage, and is no longer of any use. It is NOT compatable with WebTV . I doubt that I'd like it much better, on a computer, and I am NOT going to use one.

This is NOT FR anymore. It is something that has all kinds of fancy / useless bells, whistles, patriotic geegaws, and hurts the eyes. Computer geeks and suckups may claim to like it ; but, THIS is NOT what FR was supposed to be all about.

It's much, much MUCH worse than combing through old neswpapers. This has now become about 98 % more bother , than it's worth.

If FR had looked and worked like this, 4 years ago, I wouldn't have bothered with it.

Sorry, I like it and it seems to actually load faster for me and yes, I am on dial-up. The WebTV stuff will need to be fixed though since so many people use it.

Any time you change things people have issues. Just be patient and let the powers that be respond to these problems. I would venture that FR does not have a full QA lab and focus group testing. Let these hard-working guys have some credit for a nice looking site.
