First I want to say to DJ88 that I don't think many of us Israelis are "up for this". But this war is not of our making. Not in the conventional sense that is.
There are many out there who understand that, even though the illusion is contrary to the truth, this is not a political war. It is not a military war. Where the true battle is being fought is on high. This is a spiritual war. There is tons to say on the subject, but there is not much time, or emotional energy, as this day which did not start at sun rise, but was through the night listening and praying in concern for our brothers and sisters in Alon Moray, where a terrorists killed four Jews in their own home.
Jontron is correct in remembering that the Temple Mount is just that…the Mount where the Holy Temple, Beit Hamigdash stood.
If you read over the original article again, you might notice how it was written. Most people are on the fly. They do not have time to read full stories, so they read headlines and glance at the first paragraph. You will notice that the slant is totally anti-Semitic.

Namely, youth throwing rocks.
Have anyone of you ever seen “rocks” that these youths (16, 17, 18yr old teens) throw? Living in the Old City, a stones throw (pardon the expression) from the Western Wall, I can tell you that the first time I saw them I was shocked, thinking the same as you….rocks being perhaps palm size. Our GDP was approximately $5.5 billion.
WOW! Their GDP grew by 700% of what it was stated to be before the war was started by Arafat. Now that is a pretty healthy economy by any standards.(Liars) The only thing is, I can not figure out what they have to sell to bring in this cash flow. The entire GDP of Palestine is AID money from America, the UN, (America again), The Eeee Uuuu, and Israel. Israel cut off its aid, America halved its aid and their economy is down. The good news is that the other Arab nations and the Eee Uuu have chipped in about the ammount that America reduced, But our payments by the UN are only slightly increased.
Stop sending money, and Arafat's war will stop. It is that easy.

A) The USA
Our high tech civilization would be reduced to the social level that the Aztecs had, but hopefully with a Judaeo Christian culture. We would lose all technical skills higher than the Amerindians, and 98% of our people would eventually perish as a result.
B) Israel
Israel would be reduced to a socioecomic level about the same as in the days of Abraham, with a population size to match.
