You did judge my post wrongly. Easy to do with no audio help.

Now that my cover is blown the facts will come slow. Thanks for all the information just the same.

I don't know what that happened. The URL is correct but it automatically changes to the FBI (!) webpage when you click on it. So, I am sending it this way. Very strange...

Intentional re-URL-ed to the FBI site. Probably just pinged someone at the NSA to supiscious activity. Wonder if I'll be getting a visit from the men in black soon. Better pack up all my contra-ban quick. LOL. I guess that's not that funny when I think about it.

A lot of what has been said on this thread seems to be taken directly from your link. Thanks.

Totally agreed. I hate bringing up the "wel 2000 years ago..." argument. Live in the here and now. And the here and now of it is that Israel is fighting for it's very existance, yet again.

After todays tragedy, I really hope the gloves come off. No more empty buildings and promises Sharon. It is time to provide security, at any cost.

We have the whole continent. How would you like it if they gave Georgia of Colorado to the Arabs because they were persecuted in Europe? Doesn't sit well does it. Don't you think that if you lost property to this relocation you would have to resort to fighting by any means necc to get it back? That's what happened. Without compensation for lost property. And they've been pissed off ever since.

It's been a while since I have seen a post which is totally wrong.
Ignorance might have been a great excuse 7 months ago, but there has been enough time to have picked up even the most rudimentary facts about "Palestine".

Israel's creation began long before their persecution in Europe. Most of the private land in Israel was purchased between 1880 and 1947.
The remainder was lost by the Ottoman Empire when they picked the wrong allies in World War I.
Notice that the Turkish Empire has not made any claims.

The 400,000 Muslims who left Israel during the war of creation left voluntarily in the hope that Israel would be destroyed before she was established.
Any of those 400,000 who might still be alive might have a legitimate claim to return, provided that they pledge allegiance to a Jewish State and its laws.
Not a single other arab has a claim.

Your comparison couldn't be farther off if an Arab invented it.

Yes, the Arab Muslims have been pissed off since 1948, but not because they got kicked off their land, but because they failed to kick the Israelis off theirs.
Losers don't get to make decisions 54 years later.

So should we let the UN come to one of our states (or regions since it's been pointed out that there was no panestinian state) and kick us out of our homes and hand the property over to the indians?

One more time... Nobody got kicked out of their homes. The left voluntarily.

But let's ignore that.
If you are saying that the world, through the UN had no authority to determine the creation of nations, certainly you would argue the same about tht League of Nations and various mandates by the French and the British.

So we should erase Syria, Lebanon and Jordan too?

And give it to whom?

Why does the PA feel that their property has been stolen?

Same reason that the Muslim Mass Murderers think killing innocent civilians is not murder.
They live in a parallel universe.

Yes, it's too bad it's not Yassir's head being held on the street. Seems he's too smart for that, he'd rather send out brainwashed children to do his dirty work, rather like the Iranian mullahs sending out children to clear minefields by linking arms and marching across.

I for one will be GLAD, when he is finally in the past.

Best regards and kudos.
This is the first time you have provided a link that was not an Arab/Muslim propaganda site, LOL.

Never mind that the land belonged to the palestinians "before" the US/UN put the Jews there after WWII huh? They have a legitimate beef there. Their methods are indefensable but started out as similar to those used in our fight for independance.(not including suicide bombings of course)

Are you sure about that? Would you like to have a conversation?

There has ALWAYS been a Jewish presence in the area, albeit a small one. And aside from that, do you have any idea how sparsely populated it was by Arabs (so-called Palestinians) for centuries? Have you read any eye-witness accounts circa turn of the century? Samuel L Clemens basically called Jerusalem a deserted dump in which animals weren't fit to live. It was populated mostly by Bedouins. The "Palestinians" didn't care about it until they thought they would lose it to the Jews.

"Palestine" during Turkish control consisted of what now is Jordan as well as Israel. After Britain gained control, they released the Balfour Declaration, which promised the Jews a homeland in Palestine. The British also created - yes created - half the countries in the middle east by dolling out parcels of land to various Arab royals. They split Palestine into two parts - an Arab state and a Jewish state. The Arab state became Transjordan, later Jordan, and the rest (less that one tenth of one percent of the entire Arab world) was to become a Jewish state.

I'll not even go into all the roadblocks and broken promises instigated by the British in response to the protests of the Arabs, who never did want Israel to exist (and still don't - they make that clear daily), but let's sum up by saying that the protests of the Arabs eventually caused the UN to partition the Jewish mandate in the most ridiculous checkerboard fashion, forcing the Jews to lose Jerusalem as their capital. But the Jews, although very disappointed, signed onto the plan anyway. And guess what - the Arabs didn't. They insisted on all the land, attacking Israel the minute she declared independence.

Less than one tenth of one percent. A scrap the size of NJ. But they shouldn't be allowed to have that either right? And at the very least, they should allow millions and millions of "Palestinians" to return to their "native" land. Sounds fair, doesn't it.

Don't even get me started on the "refugee problem." Sorry - I'm a bit fired up over the latest count - 19 dead and 140+ injured.

So the Jews created a state. And in the process cleaned out the Arabs that were living within their borders right? Is that not true?

No.

"Never mind that the land belonged to the palestinians "before" the US/UN put the Jews there after WWII huh?"

Patently untrue.

There's a little unwritten rule here on FR. If you choose to take a stance, you'd better darned well research it and know what the hell you're talking about before you post it on a Forum read by many hundreds of thousands of people every day.

You just flunked.

I thought that by the logic posted here they didn't actually own land because they weren't contained within an established gubments boundries.

Well, certainly not "palestine".
It was part of the Turkish Empire, and a small part of the total was under private ownership. Not a country, at the time it was called an "Administrative Region" of the Turkish Empire.

I am so tired of hearing the Arab propaganda saying the suicide bombers are being created out of "desperation" because their land is being occupied. Let me tell you, there are a lot of people in the world worse off under many different circumstances, and are they blowing innocent people up?

The truth is the suicide maniacs are being created by those who want to destroy Israel, and they are taught hate at such an early age. It's called Jihad for kids. Hell, if you take a 6 year old kid and brainwash that kid, chances are you would be able to get him to do whatever you want later in his life. That is exactly what these arabs are doing. Breeding hate, and breeding suicide bombers.

As far as "their" land being occupied, they shouldn't have attacked Israel in the first place, huh? Nothing wrong with taking land when your country is attacked like Israel was.
