Does anyone of you old cartoon afficiannos remember a cartoon back in the sixties called "Rough&Ready."I vaguely remember that it was about a Cat&dog duo that were always getting invlved in some kind of farout situation. My brothers and myself never missed it.It's been 35 years or so,I'd love to find it on one of those cartoon networks sometime. It would bring back old memories.

You said :"Okay, I don't remember those guys. As I sit here cracking up at the thought of Baby Man, what exactly was his weapon, a messy diaper or a wet burp?"
You missed the REAL one, and probably the next in the list if you'd thought about it. It was his bottle. It had a REALLY elastic nipple on it.

Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves (I think).
Revised in the Bugs Bunny Feature length "1001 Rabbit Tales".

Wow...there's a blast from the past. Does Cartoon Network run Captain Caveman cartoons?

Didn't Mel Blanc model Foghorn's voice after some Congressman of the 1940's or 50's -- was it House Speaker Sam Rayburn?

Hmmm, Rope Man was a Sailor. Cuckoo Man worked in a clock store. Strong Man worked at a gas station (??). Baby Man was just a baby, and I can't remember Tornado Man's alter ego.

The Frito Bandito was banned sometime in the early seventies.I think that's when all this PC crap had it's roots. It was about the sametime they took the cigarette commercials off the air.Back then, being a kid,it was hard to comprehend what all the hoopla was about a cartoon charactor.Hell,I grew up watching the guy on TV,I always thought he was harmless. All he ever wanted was some damn fritos,he was just willing to rob somebody of them instead of buying his own.

I believe Ralph Bakshi worked on the Might Heroes. I believe Bakshi also worked on the original (late 60s) animated version of Spider-Man, the first time I ever heard of Spidey. Bakshi's is the only Spidey I'll watch.

Jeez - I'm embarrassed to ask, but as long as you brought up the subject...
The stupidest on-going useless argument I have with one of my buddies is whether the theme song goes:
"Hong Kong Phooey/Number one super guy"
OR
"Hong Kong Phooey/Never was a super guy"
Your opinion is this critical matter would be highly appreciated....
To: Sir Gawain; Sabertooth
In his adventures, the sombrero-wearing mouse sports an over-the-top Mexican accent and uses his super speed to foil foes like the "Greengo Pussygato" Sylvester. LOL!!!!! I have another name for Saber. Arriba! Arriba! Arriba!

How dumb is this? Speedy was cool, he was fast, he humiliated cats. How does that portray Mexicans in a bad light? Because he had a Spanish accent? Sheez! If someone would present middle-aged Anglo guys as cool, fast, and the terror of cats, I'd be astonished, but gratified.

Number one superguy.
No doubt about that.
It fits in with the rest of the lyrics: "Hong Kong Phooey, Number one Superguy, Hong Kong Phooey, Quicker than the human eye. He's got style a groovey style and car that just won't stop. When the goin gets rough he's super tough with a hong kong phooeny chop"

Captain Caveman is offensive to cavemen around the world I'm not offended. Hey hobbes does Captain Caveman offend you?
To: jdub
Arab guy running around with a huge scimitar yelling "Hassan CHOP!!" trying to kill Bugs and Daffy.LMAO! I think I remember seeing that one back in the day...
Those were the good ol' days of kids' cartoons. The uber-judgmental touchy-feely dreck folks crank out nowadays ain't worth p!ssin' on.
