I have yet seen Krauthammer go off on Bush (since early in the war when he wanted to take Kabul sooner rather than later). Bennett is a has-been blowhard who thinks he is the be all & end all of "virtues".

As for Will, well....who cares. Baseball season is here so he will be immersed in that.

And sorry Rush. You didn't start the bitching & moaning about Bush. It has always been going on by conservatives who are masters of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It's not always about you, Rush.

Conservatives bitched & moaned all during the election about everything the Bush campaign did or didn't do. The armchair campaing managers have turned into armchair generals and armchair policy wonks.

W will continue to be W. Like it or not. And if you don't like it, there is Howards Phillips, Pat Buchanan, Harry Browne, Gary Bauer, and the rest of the uber-conservatives who you can start leg humping on.

Don't forget Wesley Pruden at the Washington Times. Pretty soon, the only "conservative" you're gonna have left to side with is W.

Wow!, Pokey....well said.
All I know is that my military family(husband and son) love GW as our CinC.
Go ahead everyone, vote another Rat into office and disappoint all of the military, who are out there everyday protecting your freedoms.
We're used to doing without, having the scorn of the US people(until you need us) and being deployed to God knows where and for what.

For once in 8 years we are proud of our CinC.

Actually, Pokey, George Will's current column is outstanding, even if it does criticize the President. But if I read you correctly, we're pretty much in agreement on President Bush. I wish he were more conservative, but I still think he's a great president, and I'm awfully proud of him.

Our country was spared an immense tragedy when Pat Buchanan failed to do to President Bush what Ralph Nader succeeded in doing to Vice President Gore.

Your post #7 hits the nail on the head. When Rush has to look to "Fats" Bennett and Judge Wills he's lost his case (and his credibility).

At least they stand for something !! Those of you who adore Bush are just as blind as those who adore clinton. As for me, wrong is wrong no matter if my guy does it or your guy. I will not defend anyone that is wrong and Bush is wrong on domestic issues. I do not intend to vote for prez in 2004.

"W will continue to be W. Like it or not."

As though you expected W to collapse like a cheap camera to the Dems and the Drunken Senator on "education", Campaign Finance Reform, wimping out on backing his own Judical appointees, and the Illegal Alien Amnesty program??

Yeah -- some Republican "Conservative" George W. Bush has been. Thus far domestically, he makes even Bob Dole seem like right-wing fanatic.

At the time of his approach to Red China, Richard Nixon (a REPUBLICAN for those of you from Rio Linda) was approached by an internationalist businessman who was literally salivating over the prospect of access to the BILLIONS of potential Chinese slave laborers and “customers” (although this rocket scientist had apparently not yet concluded that the Chinese people would be hard pressed to buy his stuff without MONEY!!!!).

This businessman was concerned that Nixon had been SAYING that he was cooling to the idea of an opening to Red China to quell the uprising within the then very much more America-First rank and file Republican Party.

As reported years later, Nixon told the businessman
“DON’T LISTEN TO WHAT WE SAY: WATCH WHAT WE DO!"

AS YOU READ THIS, IT APPEARS THAT BUSH, DASCHLE AND OTHERS ARE WELL DOWN THE ROAD TO USING THIS PAGE FROM THE NIXON PLAYBOOK!

IT APPEARS THAT DUBYA -- LIKE NIXON (and numerous others) BEFORE HIM --IS NOW “DOING” US (IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE).

Look, America – the IDEA not the PLACE – can only continue to exist if we heed the advice of the founding fathers (paraphrased here in the current vernacular for residents of Rio Linda), to wit:
“The Founding Fathers have determined that failure to WATCH politicians – ALL POLITICIANS (even those you may worship!) – is dangerous to the security of this nation and to the freedoms we paid such a heavy price to TRY to leave you and your children.”

“Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path to destruction.”
That from the radical right-wing, tinfoil hat wearing wacko, Thomas Jefferson.
