He cannot possibly KNOW it's unconstitutional; he may think, like we do, that it IS constitutional, but unless you've found something in the Constitution that I haven't seen, the job of deciding constitutionality of bills IS the job of the United States Supreme Court, whether you like it or not.

Howlin, just a little while ago, I posted on a different thread that it is the responsibility of the Supreme Court to decide what laws are and are not constitutional. That's the way the government of our constitutional republic is set up to work.

But it's a lot more fun to hyperventilate, isn't it?

Apparently so. It appears that it's not just the Democrats who want this as an issue; apparently it's our very own Unappeasables/Bush Bashers.

Not fun, I would argue that it is more like an addiction for some on FR.

Ole Okie: First to the important news of the weekend -- how about them Sooners?

Second what you must said about the Supreme Court! I have been posting ever chance I get that it is the responsibility of the Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of the laws written by Congress and signed by the President. There seems to be a basic lack of Civics 101 on this Forum and people cannot seem to fathom that we actually have three branches of Government (sarcasm) all with different responsibilities.

Considering some of the folks I have seen posting all this anti-Bush sentiment it seems that nothing has changed -- sounds like the same old crap from the primaries to me! They must think we are deaf, dumb, and blind not to notice that they were never were Bush supporters or were pseudo Bush supporters.

Funniest thing I saw was last night using the Washington Post to further their cause of Bush bashing! Now that said it all!

Sure, but it is up to the president, or two thirds of the vote in
both houses to decide what becomes a law in the first place.
