Having just endured this piece of tripe recently, I would have to say "The Cider House Rules"

I nominate American Beauty. Whether it's the most liberal movie of all time may be debatable, but it belongs on the list.

Reds, All the Presidents Men, the list like the top 5 Hollywood liberals thread is quite long.

I managed to make it through the Contender, realizing that the film was just another in a long line of "high-minded" Clinton-excuser film, explaining to us simple minded folk how we just aren't thinking right. Cider House Rules really ticked me off. I sensed what was coming early on in the movie, and stuck it out only to see if I was right.

Dr. Strangelove, or any propaganda which the libertarians and communists both laud.

I love these threads, although some FR die-hards think they are a waste of bandwidth. The Ciderhouse Rules would certainly qualify in the recent films category. Going back to the classics, how about The Grapes of Wrath?

Letter to Brezhnev was a doozy....about two English gals/morons who decide to move to the USSR during the cold war.

9 Angry Men.

That would be 12 Angry Men...and I concur. Every time I see this film I get more outraged.

Most Liberal movie of the past six months: John Q. What a load of propaganda, despite a fine performance by Denzel Washington, who, BTW SHOULD win for Training Day

Most Liberal film of all time: Our Daily Bread

I'd have to agree with "The Grapes of Wrath." One of the few movies directed by John Ford that I don't like.

American Pie? I think you must have meant American Beauty, in Pie I dont sense any message to be gained.

No, not Dr. Strangelove, that's one of my favorites! But if you want a liberal one about nuclear war, try Failsafe or even The Bedford Incident. For the liberal fear of a military coup, try Seven Days in May.
