I'm back. I don't have a problem with what you're saying. I do have a problem with taking a stance that violates the Constitution regardless of whether 1% or 100% of your constituents agree with it.
I'm the problem. I belong somewhere where the Hartford Courant would go out of business, and Simmons would not get elected because he is too liberal. One of my favorite Free Republic threads of all time was last year's Need to be with my own kind, where I asked Freepers where the best place to live was.
Maybe its because I was raised by ultra-liberal parents that I have built up a resistance. Its my belief that i am currently being called to be a good conservative example among liberals for my children and my neighbors. It does get lonely sometimes, especially in my fairly liberal Church.
