MIAMI - Janet Reno is headed to Hollywood.

The former U.S. Attorney General is booked for NBC's "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno on Tuesday, capping off fund-raisers in three California cities to build her campaign war chest for Florida governor.

Reno spokeswoman Nicole Harburger said the candidate will also be the guest of pop star Elton John at his swanky post-Academy Awards party Sunday in Los Angeles.

Reno, a Democrat vying to defeat Gov. Jeb Bush, was attending a fund-raiser Friday night in San Francisco held by Esta Soler, director of the Family Violence Prevention Fund.

She will return to Florida briefly for Saturday's state AFL-CIO convention in Jacksonville, where she'll try to nab the labor group's endorsement.

Reno then returns to the Golden State for a fund-raiser in Sacramento held by Democratic activists Eleni and Markos Tsakopoulous on Sunday and an event in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Reno ends the trip with a Tuesday afternoon taping of the "Tonight Show" where she'll appear with actress Jodie Foster.

I couldn't imagine she would have a chance in h*ll of winning. Even the liberals I know don't like her. The Dems can scream all they want about Jeb helping to steal the 2000 election, but I bet when it right down to it, faced with having to choose between Bush and Reno, a lot of Dems will just not vote at all.

Pickering: we simply go to every event, debate etc., and point to the FACTS that the Democrat standard for automatic disqualificatation for serving in the judiciary is being a Christian, is moral absolutism, is any sort of belief in absolute right and wrong. Automatic disqualification.

Second: we trot out pix of Reno and Elton (at the Oscars, with the other freaks) at every campaign even anywhere and everywhere in the nation. A picture is worth a thousand words. People---normal people---with children---no matter how "modern" or "progressive"---they don't want anything to do with aging homos. It's an embarrassment. YOUNG ones are embarrassing enough. But lonely OLD ones? How pathetic! What parent wants his/her daughter around a bulldyke like Reno? What parent wouldn't have a heart attack at the thought of John getting alone with ANY boy?

I find it curious that Janet has to run to California and Hollywood to raise money for a campaign in FLORIDA! This makes me sick. If the Dems didn't have Hollywood, they wouldn't have any money at all.

Oh, her supporters just love her. However, there is also a substantial number of independent and swing voters in FL, as well as GOP voters. These Janet supporters think Janet-voters are the only voters in the state, and all by themselves they can get her elected. Unless they plan on casting additional, fraudulent votes, they don't have a chance. Why they don't know that is beyond me. They seem very arrogant.
