A bump and a bookmark for commie-liberal hypocrisy!

Harry, I though you were dead (insert seen from Escape From NY here). Thanks for the post and welcome back.

Something doesn't pass the smell test
I wonder if anybody really checked this out
This sounds like something she may have made up to try and show she is not against hunters but onlt evil handguns but in the process screwed up by not realizing if it were true she broke the law
The gunshop should be checked out to see if she was really there

Yes, that is strange. One would think she would decline to comment. I wonder what the motive is? Hmm...
To: ScreamingFist
hehehe... Thanks.
To: Inspector Harry Callahan
Great quote! Thanks for the heads up!

Its posted on DU. No one has responded yet. Go look quick before they pull it! That's strange. Still no comments on the DU post. What's wrong democRATs, can't think of anything to say?

This might be the federal violation: If she is not a resident of Delaware, and she bought a rifle in Delaware, but did not comply with Delaware laws (straw purchase under Delaware law), then that is a violation of federal law.
"A person may only buy a firearm within the person's own state, except that he or she may buy a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee's premises in any state, provided the sale complies with state laws applicable in the state of sale and the state where the purchaser resides. [18 U. S. C 922( a)( 3) and (5), 922( b)( 3), 27 CFR 178.29] "

What's really startling is that SARAH BRADY ADMITTED TO THIS IN PRINT. Nobody would have ever known if she hadn't told the world.
This doesn't pass the smell test
Like I say I think she made this up to show that she is not against HUNTERS only EVIL handguns
Problem is she is too dumb to even know what the laws she pushed for are

If Remington is smart, they'll spin this into a new marketing campaign, pronto! ;-)
Can't you just see wrinkly Sarah in that breakfast table scene from A Christmas Story?
Sarah: "So, Jimmy, what do you want for Christmas?"
Jimmy: "I want a 250-shot, carbine-action Red Ryder BB Gun, with the compass in the stock... or a Remington .30-06!" sotto voce (oh, noo...)
Sarah: "Mmm, No... You'll shoot your eye out."
Jimmy (voice-over): "It was the 'Mother - .30-06 Block', unsurmountable by all means known to kid-dom!"
Jimmy: (nervous laugh) "I was just kidding. I guess I'd like some Tinkertoys..."

I still say this is BS . She made it up and is too dumb to know that she would have broken the law

Damn... looks like a hoax after all. No mention of "James, Jr." on the BradyCampaign website:
Mr. Brady was born in Centralia, Illinois, on August 29, 1940. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1962, where he earned a B.S. degree in Communications and Political Science. Mr. Brady and his wife, the former Sarah Kemp, reside in Delaware with their son, Scott. Mr. Brady also has a daughter, Melissa.

If this is a hoax on her part, add confirmed LIAR to the list of descriptions befitting her. And what else in that book of hers is LIES?
To: Charles Martel
She received her BA from the College of William and Mary in 1964. In 1973, she married James Scott Brady and they have a son, James Scott Brady, Jr. ...

I have trouble believing ANY gun dealer would hesitate to photocopy a 4473 with her signature on it and distribute it to the world IMMEDIATELY. This supposedly occurred two years ago, so we would've heard from another source if this had happened.
To: ScreamingFist
James Scott Brady, Jr. Well, I'll be sheep-dipped! :-)
Actually, I was starting to suspect this very thing. However, why would the gun dealer hold this little bombshell back? Is it against the law to make 4473 info public? Hmmm...
To: Charles Martel
Sarah's son is referred to both James Jr and Scott in the article.
To: RogueIsland
From ATF F 4473 Important Notice 1
"... You are also the actual buyer if you are acquiring the firearm as a legitimate gift for a third party. ..."
I hate to rain on everyones parade but this was a legal purchase. It still stinks of hypocracy. By the way, why is she buying her son a sniper's rifle any way?
To: Inspector Harry Callahan
Make that "referred to as both James Jr and Scott..."
