To All: Heck, this is easy...My old hometown...Wapakoneta, Ohio. Still only 7000 folks, and a wonderful little mecca; but sadly, all my old boyhood sweethearts are now in the cemetery, so I had better forestall a return visit...just to be on the safe side. Cheers. DK/Coro

Amen! I'd love to have a little cabin on a mountaintop, somewhere between Abington and Marion...unfortunately, I'm stuck in Richmond for the forseeable future. I can dream though!

You are correct, sir!

Southwest Virginia...God's own country. Couldn't agree more. I moved thirty miles TOO FAR to the south, and wound up in east Tennessee. Much of that decision was based on the lack of an income tax in Tennessee. That is about to change. If the corrupt politicians (the best special interests can buy) pass an income tax, I'll scoot back over the Virginia border. For some odd reason, the Virginians take more pride in the appearance of their state. The minute you cross the border heading north, the trash disappears. Go figure. More jobs on the Virginia side (but not that many), and the Abingdon area is hard to beat. The Route 58 corridor between Abingdon and Grayson Highlands is gorgeous...highly recommended.

I will be in Palmyra starting April 1st. My brother bought a house and is moving in from LA. I was there in November and absolutley loved it. 1800 people and just 20 minutes from Charlottesville. I have been seriously thinking about leaving Buffalo and joining him there. I was invited to run for office there to help the business community grow, very Conservative thinking community and full of History.
