I was up late to defend this wonderful thread.

It's a real shame that some people never learned any manners. I had a 7th grade teacher who, as discipline, would make students write sentences for such infractions as chewing gum in class or talking. It wasn't the typical "I must not talk in class." Here is a version of it as applied to this thread ...

There is a time and a place for everything and rintense's Daily Dose thread is neither the time nor the place for discussing politics.

As I have told others on occasion, both bathing suits and formal gowns are appropriate clothing ... but only in the right setting. One doesn't generally wear an evening gown to the swimming pool or a bathing suit to a formal dance.

I sure wish these clowns would realize this principle. Some of the comments posted here would be very much out of place on a political discussion thread .... and their remarks are equally inappropriate here.

Btw, I favor the approach of ignoring them. It is only when we respond that things spiral downwards. If we don't rise to the bait, they will soon go elsewhere to try to rile people up.

I know--brrrr is right !! And yes !! it IS Spring !! I know that because I just washed my windows (well--only the upstairs, but it's a start).

We didn't have snow last night -- just this weird heavy, frosty-dew stuff, and most of the water on the pool cover was frozen again -- ICK !!
