We expect Israel to spy on us to get our technology and military plans

We do?...Is this before or after we send them the check for $3 billion plus each year?

I didn't say we necessarily TOLERATED Israeli spying, just that we EXPECTED them to spy on us for technology and military secrets, just as we expect almost every other country in the world to do the same -- just because we are #1 in the world in technology and military power. Yes, it's expected, and yet a Jonathon Pollard, if caught, will be punished.

Also, the key part of my sentence was NOT the word "expect," it was the words "technology" and "military secrets," as I went on to make clear (I thought). My point was that Israel would want to spy on us for those things, and would have little reason to spy here to learn about Islamofascist attacks within the U.S.

In short, we don't know that the Israeli art students were spies. But even if we posit that they were spies, there is NOTHING that we know that leads us to believe that they knew about the 9/11 attacks.

Again, can anyone tell me what reason Israel would have to expend spying resources to learn of the 9/11 attacks, if they weren't going to do anything with the info?
