OK, you lived here for a year. Take it from someone who's lived in this area for 14 years, and am still there and "plugged in", it would have made no difference if the victim were gay, lesbian, purple, Martian, Reform Party candidate, or whatever: the horrific nature of this crime pretty much dictated how it was going to come down. To suggest anything else trivializes the nature of the crime (and the sentence), and demeans the victim. Focus on what happened, not who it happened to.

I did focus on the CRIME! I was there when the damned crime took place! I agree 100% with the verdicts! To question the political make up of SF does not undermine the victim, that is a fools argument.

I have seen many vicious dogs in my life, and some that were attacking people. I have never seen a dog that could not be pulled off the victim by the dog's owner. Most even responded to the voice commands of their owners.

That is why I believe the woman was culpable. The husband .... I don't know. The loaded-gun-left-in-the-house analogies make me feel uneasy. Thene again, if he trained the dogs to attack people ...
