I have seen many vicious dogs in my life, and some that were attacking people. I have never seen a dog that could not be pulled off the victim by the dog's owner. Most even responded to the voice commands of their owners.
That is why I believe the woman was culpable. The husband .... I don't know. The loaded-gun-left-in-the-house analogies make me feel uneasy. Thene again, if he trained the dogs to attack people ...

Most even responded to the voice commands of their owners" Not my little 5 lb. pomeranian. She'll latch on to the ankle of any stranger who tries to come near me and I have to grab her. I've told my husband many times, if he a larger dog we would have to put her to sleep. :-(
