I wondered that too. When I first heard they were guilty on manslaughter, I thought they were getting a pass on murder.

Los Angeles. The Court allowed a change of venue for this case.

It is a crime to have a mischievous animal?

We are in trouble. We have a coy cat and a bouncy dog.

A mischievous animal that ripped a woman's throat out.

keep in mind the victim was a Lesbian... had she not been, I wonder if the verdict would have been the same.

Oh, for crying out loud, get a life. Where in the testimony or the law is there a basis for this kind of bigotry? Like I said earlier, if the victim were Gomer Pyle, this is a just outcome.

Exactly, those dogs were bred to be the perfect killing machine-I believe they are worse than pit bulls.

While I absolutely agree with these verdicts... keep in mind the victim was a Lesbian... had she not been, I wonder if the verdict would have been the same.

I will admit that I found myself wondering how the libs, including the media, would line up in a case between a lesbian and a couple with a beastiality fetish - I imagine it was a tough choice. (Probably would have been easier for them if the victim had been straight).

As far as I am concerned, this case had to do with personal responsibility and the owners of the dogs should and have been held accountable for the actions of their pets.

Manslaughter is what is called a "lesser included offense" to murder. The jury could have found not guilty on murder but guilty on manslaughter. Where they found guilty as to both, the murder conviction controls.

I grew up around large breed dogs. Even the most "friendly" large breed needs LOTS of training.

You can kick those little ankle biters off, but not 100lbers.

Did she sic the dog on the victim, or did it just get away?

Only she knows...

If I were Marjorie Knoller, I would have stood up and faced the jury and said..."AND OJ IS WALKING AROUND FREE" ?

No it wouldn't have, the gay lobby pushed the prosecution into going after the 2nd degree charge from what I heard.
