I'm hoping the heavy-duty FReeping of the school superintendent had something to do with the ultimate decision! Thanks for the FReeper link.

Hooray, now the kid gets to go back to government brainwashing camp. Hopefully this experience has taught this student just what a bunch of idiots these liberal teachers are.

Good news!
Mr Hess probably had some interesting photos of the left wing maggots playing teachers and adminstrators at this school!
Good for Mr. Hess!

Damn. I have a whole case of table knives on order for placement under the windshields of every car parked at my son's high school here in Texas.
Well, every car except one. After they expelled everybody but my son, he was pretty much a lock to be valedictorian.

Yeah! I don't know if it helped, but I sent the superintendant an e-mail yesterday........

I posted in the older thread:
"Texans sure are wimps these days. California kids would take it as a heaven-sent opportunity to get on TV and wow the Yale admissions committee. It's called guerrilla theater and civil disobedience. "This country is a sorry place when school kids have to show adults how to be Americans."
Organize demonstrations - "It's Bring A Butterknife To School Day!" The principal will discover he has discretion when the alternative is to lose his job because he's expelled most of the students due to him being an idiot, and the per diem for attendance tubes. The media would love the story and give its organizers lots of free air time. And I expect it would spread to other schools like wildfire.
The way to beat this thing is to make a damn fool of the principal and the Texas legislature. I realize the latter is redundant.
I can't believe that Texans, of all people are afraid to stick it in someone's eye.

When parents stand up for their children and drag these left wing maggots out into the sunlight of public censor, the maggots will collapse like a soiled/used Kleenex into the gutter!
Just a few emails from angry Freepers is an early warning to these maggots to drop this stupid action and to back away from it!

An honors student expelled from a North Texas school after a bread knife was discovered in the back of his pickup truck I hope the fella has learned that theres a time and place for enjoying some freshly sliced bread, and it isnt in the back of his truck at school. If this type of vigilance saves just one child from a bread slicing injury, it will all be worth it
Where in the constitution does it say we are guaranteed the right to enjoy a piece of freshly carved bread?

Happy days / Common Sense finally ping!Hess' expulsion will be reduced from the rest of the school year to time served.
Your celebrating over this? Time served for having a butter knife in your pick up truck, in the parking lot of a school? Reduced to time served. LOL! Scratch that. Sad.

It probably makes no difference anyway. With brain dead principles and superintendants like this, they probably don't teach anything of use.
Home school and keep a Bowie knife for a letter opener next to your desk.

The rule is stupid and badly written but I fail to see how bending the rules serves any purpose in the long run. Now when someone brings a hawkbill to school, this gives whoever does it the out of saying they are training to be an electrician.
