In direct and wanton violation of their oaths of office, sixty U.S. Senators just voted to squash the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Whenever you say "I am confident" in reference to the U.S.S.C., you lose me. I have no confidence in the Supreme Court of the United States, and I suspect that deep down, you don't either, or you wouldn't call yourself a "conspirator." Were you also "confident" that the "justices" would uphold the NE ban on partial-birth abortions?

My email to my senator

Dear Senator Warner:

After seeing how you voted (on CFR), rest assured that I will use any political clout I can muster in order to assure that you will never darken the halls of the senate again.

I wanted to add more, but a wave of civility overcame me.

I remember a saying from about 30 years ago. "Once the Second Amendment is nullified, the First Amendment will surely follow."

Oh, well. Is totalitarianism really that bad of a thing?

It certainly explains the desperate attempts to depict guns as evil and the drive to disarm the American population.

I don't think Bush will veto this, but he'll wait with anticipation for it's anti-constitutional qualities to be served to the Supreme court like a waist-high fastball over the middle of the plate.

Then he is as much of an unprincipled wimp as his father.

FReegards,

What is the website that shows how each member of the House and Senate voted?

Thanks, I just found the Roll Call votes web page. I think they intentionally make it hard to find.

You mean have Bush ask SCOTUS for guidance on a law he believes may be unconstitutional, prior to signing it?

Bush believes CFR "may be unconstitutional?" Why "may be"? Can't he read? If not, can't anyone in his entire administration read for him?

What part of "Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech..." is complicated or unclear?

This is simply one more example of why anyone who cares about the Constitution should NOT vote for a Republican (other than Ron Paul, of course) at the federal level.
