Robert Byrd did us all a favor yesterday.... blocked GWBush immigration schemes for the time being.
"And Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center reported it
lost $1 million treating 75 undocumented immigrants in
the first quarter of fiscal 2002. It anticipates greater
losses in the months ahead." Deplorable. Not to wax inhumane, but do we truly have
any obligation to provide free health care for citizens
of other countries, entered here illegally, at our own
expense? Especially care for injuries incurred during the
process of illegally entering this country?
