Thanks Ed, I am building a poster to pass out, to parents waiting to pick kids up from school and in waiting rooms in office building in my community. Can't seem to find any on the internet. I just do not feel many parents know about this. I called the local schools and drilled them about their sex education, or diversity classes, and all denied they covered homosexul teaching? Not sure I believe them though.

Additionally when a person avows homosexuality they are out on a mentoring principle, not because they may cause harm to children. In fact, many homosexuals that have "come out" and avowed their lifestyle were exemplary leaders for many years in Scouting that would never cause harm to any child.

As a mentoring principle, homosexual leaders CANNOT, therefore, be explary, and that is what harms children.

Hey, I only report the facts. Fact, some leaders in the BSA have come out of the closet, much to the surprise of all. Nowhere in any of their conduct as a Scout Leader was anyone suspect to any inappropriate behavior. Simply declaring oneself as homosexual is sufficient to remove them from Scouting.

Now that being said, I support the BSA policy 100%. I should also note that two gay co-workers also support the current BSA policy, and yes one was a Boy Scout as a child.

You've mentioned this several times already. I didn't think that the boy scouts had such problems with den mothers in the cub scouts.

If the molestor is male and the victim is male then the molester is not acting as a heterosexual but as a SAD. Since BSA deals mostly with boys and the leaders (except den mothers) are mostly male there is no potential for heterosexual child molesters.

Actually, I don't think it's an attraction to teens at all. It's an attraction to males and teens are the most vulnerable and pliable. In the priest case, what are they going to do, hang out in gay bars? They find someone vulnerable and "seduce" him. Obviously, many of these teens regret the contact later in life and make the accusal.

Maybe it's just me, but playing games with syntax is silly. Homosexual statutory rape and abuse may have a different scientific name than pedophilia but it's just as evil.

Well, I think the distinction between people who chase pre-pubescent children and those who pursue people past the age of puberty but under the age of consent is an important one. They both are illegal, and should be, but the first is is far more evil than the second.
