How did he word it...when he spoke about civil liberties and his reference to govt..insinuating that we don't need big brother in the living room? I think that is what he is referring to when asked about smoking pot. WRT:pot..don't forget...not all people believe it's any more deviant than drinking beer. It depends on which side of the ''fence'' ya stand on. On a degree of criminality..it's much less than what the defendant is on trial for. There should be so much outrage over the killing itself. I posted some info on an earlier thread..it spoke of abused and neglected kids..obvious signs. Don't you think that if the boys were neglected and abused, the counselor would have said something by now? It's a felony to not report the parents. This whole case would be so much different if the kids had signs of abuse...

That Walsh spoke with hubris and bluster -- cutting off Mr. Hannity's legitimate questions about the VD's and calling Westerfield a pedophile outright (at least so I remember) -- that is a tell. He was loud and overbearing because he had not facts. Truth speaks softly.

I like John Walsh, he is a wonderful victim's advocate but he is NOT infallible. One LKL just about a month ago TWICE he said that Jon Benet's father cut her down from the chiling where she was hanging from a noose ... twice. Of course, she did not die by hanging ... she was wrapped in a blanket.
I don't think the police should skim over this by not investigating the parents AT ALL. You seem to think they are completely innocent and I'm not so sure. If LE refuses to investigate the Van Dams then they are not doing their job. If Westerfield is guilty (and I think he is) he should be punished by death.
So it seems like there are a few people on this thread who become name callers if one has the gall to think the parents may well have had some complicity in this murder. You seem to want to silence people who are here merely tossing out ideas and talking about this crime.
