You know, I keep thinking about what all was involved to abduct Danielle from this house. Can you imagine, all of the comings (no pun intended) and goings? To know where Danielle's bedroom was, to have knowledge that at ANY time the alarm could be armed, that you would have to carry Danielle out of that home without anyone seeing or hearing you..or her, to know that at ANY time you could bump into one of the parents or "guests", or the dog that can't bark. I mean, all of this just boggles my mind that this could happen without a hitch the night she was taken.

Being victimized by a freak of nature, as john walsh was, being a founder of victims rights who paved the way for future victimized families by forcing congress to change laws and the way it utilizes the FBI ..really is someone to be admired. He is awesome..

living in Florida, especially in the '80's, when Adam Walsh was taken, was unreal- the media coverage, search teams, sheriff's mounted posses, everyone was out there looking. And even today, if you want to see parenting in action, have someone in WalMart lose track of their child and the management pages for a "CODE ADAM"- the exits are blocked, all departments get thoroughly checked, everyone is in action- nobody wants to lose a child, under ANY circumstances.

In an earlier post, I said:
We want to believe that the wages of sin really is death,
And you responded:
Why? That makes no sense at all, other than on the "misery loves company and hates people who aren't miserable" level.
Christians (well, Bible-reading ones anyhow) believe that self-denial is part of what it takes to get beyond the grip of the Flesh and enjoy the delights of life in the Spirit. But I suppose most of us wonder, especially when we hear about the wicked splashing around in the hot tub with their neighbors' wives--or getting away from the kids for a little orgy in the garage. Immediate gratification is mighty tempting. It must have been so for the early Christians as well, or Paul would not have reminded them of where it all ends up.

Danielle's door had hearts glued to the outside of it..thereby saying "she's here, she's here!"
And the wafts of Pot Smoke drifting skyward told the outside world, "We are stoned, we are stoned!!"

Admit it, catching the perp is more important. Say it just once..
WELCOME HOME KIMMIE!!!!
We have been saying that for weeks on our side of the aisle..it is important to truly CATCH the perpetrators of this act, not to simply swallow the potential bait left for the bumbling SDLE officials......
"Catching all potential perpetrators is important," there, I did it!!!

CATCHING PERPS IS MORE IMPORTANT

yes it is awesome, and yes, according to what I remember of the case (you have to remember, 20 years ago, I was in high school and much more preoccupied with other things), it did take police several days to "get out of low gear", as they were still working under the "until they are gone 24 hours, we don't consider them missing" edict, which, in the wake of the Adam Walsh case, was forever banished-
we have had children wander off in NW FL before, and, in one case, from the first call to 911 until everything our sheriff's office had was mobilized was about 20 minutes- horses, cars, foot search, helicopters, you name it...
the child, who was eight, wandered out of neighbor's garage, said he had been in the attic over the garage, looking at "magazines" with his friend, also eight, and couldn't understand what the fuss was all about, and why his mom wouldn't stop hugging him, until our sheriff, who, BTW, stands 6'9", showed up... and told him why all of this was happening! You better bet he didn't stray far from home after that!

While you FDA, are a salacious, bottom dwelling, crumbfeeding, crab-eyed, soul shrunk, filth fantacist, shrieking HTML coding poster on FR What's your problem? Did someone disagree with you? If you don't want to discuss this case and read other's opinions perhaps you should skip the Van Dam threads.
