Bravo to you Tom Ridge! Why should we expect you to uphold the laws of our country and secure our borders? No, not when political correctness states that we should not criticize the dusky hued.

I can’t help but see two problems here with a mutual solution: We have several million jobs for unskilled workers that must be filled, we also have several million people who’s “careers” consist of watching 18 hours a day of television, having children by the bushel-full, and collecting welfare. The only obstacles to placing the career welfare recipients in a job cleaning grease-traps at a taco stand or picking tomatoes in a field is that they’re lazy and need to be relocated.

Cut off the welfare and those two obstacles will take care of themselves.

I get so sick of hearing the mainstream media idiots spewing these little anecdotal stories about these "heroes" just looking for a better life. I agree there are many illegals looking to do just that but why are we re-engineering our society to accommodate them? What about the welfare queens scamming the system, the violent drug lords poisoning youth coast to coast, the theft rings, the untold billions being taken from our children's future and given to these people?

The arrogance of this Mexican cabal like fox and castenada is superseded only by the cowardice of Bush, Congress and the INS.

Isnt that odd because in a similar situation Mexico considers people like this criminals as well. Central americans come to Mexico from its southern border and Mexico is trying to stop its own flow of 'undocumented immigrants.'

"We at the Center for Immigration Studies estimate that the average Mexican immigrant will use $55,200 more in public services during his lifetime than he pays in taxes."

Camarota and Leon Bouvier Center for Immigration Studies Report, December1999, which has, among others, the following interesting facts:

"In California and New Jersey, the average immigrant-headed household currently uses $3,463 and $1,484 more, respectively, in services provided by state and local government than it pays in taxes. This translates into an added tax burden of $1,178 imposed on each native household in California and $232 in New Jersey (Table 3 on page 7)" AND

Can't help thinking that this problem wouldn't exist (or would be a lot less annoying) if we didn't have government in the wealth-redistribution business. Then, there wouldn't be income taxes for the illegals to avoid, nor welfare payments for them to take.
